How to Calculate Concrete Cubic Yards
Ready-mix concrete is typically sold by the cubic yard. Because project measurements are often expressed in feet while slab thickness is specified in inches, several conversions are required.

Area = Length × Width
The entered thickness is converted from inches to feet:
Thickness in feet = Thickness in inches ÷ 12
