How to Calculate Concrete Cubic Yards From Square Feet

Square footage alone does not tell you how much concrete is required. Concrete is a three-dimensional material, so thickness must also be considered.

The price input in this calculator is Price per Square Foot. It is not a concrete price per cubic yard.

The estimated total cost is calculated as:

Total Cost = Area × Price per Square Foot × (1 + Waste Percentage)

For example, a 500-square-foot project priced at $8 per square foot with a 10% allowance produces:
